Czech Republic will hold Presidency of the Council of the European Union in the first half of 2009. It will take over this position from France.
Motto of the Czech Presidency is "Europe without barriers".

Czech KFOR Reserve Company Activated

Based on a request by General Gerard Hegarty, KFOR Multinational Task Force Centre Commander, a Czech reserve company, which is on stand-by in the Czech Republic, was activated on Tuesday 13 May 2008.
