Czech Defence Minister and United States Secretary of Defense signed the helicopter contract

On Thursday 12 December 2019, delegations led by Defence Minister Lubomír Metnar and Defence Secretary Mark Esper met in the Pentagon. Their primary agenda included the procurement of twelve U.S. made H-1 system helicopters for the Czech Armed Forces.
Czech and Israeli defence representatives signed the contract for the procurement of Mobile Air Defence Radars

On Thursday, 5 December 2019, the Czech-Israeli government-to-government contract for the acquisition of eight units of 3D mobile air defence radars (MADR) was signed in Prague by Deputy Minister for Armaments and Acquisition Filip Říha and Brigadier General (Retired) Yair Kulas, Director of SIBAT, the International Defence Cooperation Directorate of the Israel Ministry of Defence.

On Monday 2 September 2019, Czech Minister of Defence Lubomír Metnar and his Estonian counterpart Jüri Luik attended the handover/takeover ceremony for the NATO Baltic Air Policing operational assignment at Ämari Air Force Base, Estonia. A short bilateral meeting followed and Minister Metnar completed his trip with informal discussions with the Czech Armed Forces servicemembers.
