    Dispersed operations: strategy for air power survival and flexibility

    The present security environment evolves quickly, bringing about new challenges for the Czech Armed Forces. One of the pivotal concepts, which comes to the fore, is the dispersed operations capability. This approach embraces expanding the operational air forces capability and other military assets outside their bases to diminish their vulnerability in the first attacks. On November 25-29, 2024, the Czech Air Force Commander ordered the 22nd Helicopter Air Force Base to perform unscheduled training exercise “airfield manoeuvre” to verify the ability of quickly abandoning their home station.

    Minister Černochová signed military cooperation agreement with Morocco

    Minister of Defence Jana Černochová and her Moroccan counterpart Abdeltif Loudyi signed a government-to-government Agreement on Military Cooperation between the Czech Republic and the Kingdom of Morocco in Marrakesh. The signing of the agreement was preceded by a bilateral meeting with the Minister Delegate in Charge of National Defence Administration, with topics including defence and industrial cooperation and regional and global security situation. The meeting and the signature ceremony took place as part of the prestigious international Marrakech Air Show.

    MoD signed contract for two Embraer C-390 Millennium transport aircraft

    The Czech MoD signed a contract with Embraer of Brazil for the procurement of two Embraer C-390 Millennium medium transport aircraft. The acquisition will boost the capabilities of the Czech Armed Forces and the Czech Air Force in the domain of airlifting personnel and materiel, evacuation, firefighting and in-flight refuelling. The Czech Government authorised the procurement at the beginning of October.
